Cy-Falls Lady Eagles History

The Cypress Falls Lady Eagles have a rich tradition of excellence. There have been many outstanding young women who have been a part of the Cy- Falls Lady Eagles Family. Many have gone on to continue their athletic careers at major universities, and all have gone on to lead productive lives after high school.

Since the school opened in 1993, the Lady Eagles have been in the Play-offs thirteen times, the Regional Tournament four times and the State Final Four once. The Lady Eagles were in the Play-offs in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 under former Head Coach Sharon Farrah, now Assistant Athletic Director. Her teams were District Champions and made it to the Regional Tournament in 1997 and 1998. The Lady Eagles appeared in the Play-offs again in 2006 and 2007 under Head Coach Angie McDonald. Under Jim Stephens the Lady Eagles appeared in the Play-offs six years consecutively in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. The Lady Eagles were undefeated District Champions in 2011 and 2012. They made Regional appearances both years and were the Regional Champion in 2012, advancing to the State Final Four that year. The Lady Eagles also excelled in three point marksmanship leading all Texas 5A teams with the most threes made in 2011 and 2012.

The coaching staff is very excited about this year's Lady Eagles team. We have high hopes that these young ladies will leave an outstanding mark of their own and make the Lady Eagles family stronger and better.
